Getting the most out of your air fryer

Tips for Preparation

  1. Avoid food sticking to the basket by
    - Adding just a bit of oil to food, spray a little oil onthe bottom of the mesh cooking basket
  2. Give enough space 
    - Use aluminium foil paper or parchment paper
    - Trim so as to leave a ½ inch room around bottom edge of the basket
    - Give foods plenty of space for the air to circulate
  3. Pat foods dry  
    - Especially if they are marinated or you are cooking high-fat foods like chicken wings
    - This also helps avoid splattering and excess smoke
  4. Make sure to empty the fat from the bottom machine

Before cooking foods

  1. Preheat the airfryer
    -
    For approximately  3 minutes.to reach your ideal temperature.
  2. Don’t overcrowd
    -
    This increases cooking food time resulting in sub-optimal results 
    - Give enough space so that the air can circulate effectively

Pre-made packaged foods can be cooked in the Airfryer

  • lower the conventional oven temperature by 70 degrees
  • reduce the cooking time by half
  • times and temperatures will vary by food

After using airfryer

  1. Clean the airfyer basket and  pan after each use
    -
    Avoid making your kitchen smell like fried foods
    - Also to loosen any food particles that remain on the cooking basket  
  2. Soak the cooking basket in hot, soapy water for 10 minutes prior to scrubbing or placing in the dishwasher.
  3. Clean with a non-abrasive sponge or brush, scrub the basket bottom and clean the pan
  4. Clean the outside and inside 
    The outside of the airfryer will not get greasy like a conventional deep fat fryer, however

    - Clean the outside with a moist cloth, and the inside with hot water and a soft sponge.
    - Clean the heating element with a soft to medium bristle brush, then dry with paper towels. DO NOT use a steel wire brush or a hard bristle brush
